2024 is the “Jia Chen Wood Dragon” year in the Chinese zodiac. Based on the Chinese “Five Elements” theory, metal generates water, and water generates wood, creating auspicious "golden dragons” and "water dragons" this year. Traditional craftsmanship is combined with technology, artistic media, and dynamic mechanical performances to create refined and auspicious representation of the golden and water dragons.
(Golden dragons gather in the mountains amid auspicious clouds. Water dragons reside in oceans and rivers, causing strong waves and rain. Together, these two dragons create an auspicious blessing for the Year of the Dragon, with "mountains surrounded by colorful seas of clouds, and flowing and roiling waters in the lakes, rivers, and sea.")

It was built in the 9th century by the Shailendra Dynasty and is widely considered to be one of the seven wonders of the world. Known as the Pyramid of Indonesia, it was built without any use of cement, mortar, or other adhesives. The life of the Buddha is vividly depicted in the temple’s bas-relief carvings. When looking down, it resembles the "mandala" central to Vajrayana Buddhism. The stepped building symbolizes three realms, with pilgrims eventually reaching the highest realm of Nirvana. The Borobudur Pagoda was once buried beneath volcanic ash. It was rediscovered in 1814. After restoration in the 1970s, it was hailed by scholars as the world’s largest and most complete Buddhist architectural complex. It has unparalleled artistic value, and today, the Borobudur Pagoda is regarded as a precious treasure for both Indonesia and the world.(Photo:Tourism Administration, M.O.T.C)
